The Federal Election Commission quietly issued an advisory opinion last week allowing candidates to raise unlimited money for issue-advocacy groups working on ballot measures in elections in which those candidates are on the ballot. The decision applies to all federal candidates, but with a presidential election taking place in six months, the biggest attention will fall to that race. If Mr. Biden can solicit money for abortion-rights ballot measures, he can add to an already-existing fund-raising advantage that his team currently has over Mr. Trump. In Arizona, an abortion rights group said it had the number of signatures required to put a referendum on the ballot. In Texas, the number of abortions provided within the formal health-care system dropped by about half after a six-week abortion ban took effect in 2021, and there were thousands more births than expected in the following year. Florida will join Georgia and South Carolina with a six-week ban. The Tampa Bay Abortion Fund anticipates that at least 90% of people who call their hotline will be impacted by a six-week abortion ban and will need to seek abortion care outside of Florida. Centene (CNC) traded nearly 9 times the average daily call volume on Friday ahead of Barclays 26th annual Global Healthcare Conference this week. Most active were the March 22nd weekly $82 calls and the March 28th weekly $82 calls. The mid price on the March 28th weekly $82 calls was nearly $2, substantially higher than the trader who initiated the block paid, and the weekly March 22nd calls would collect less than a quarter. If one owns the stock, a hedge might make sense, such as a weekly at-the-money put spread as illustrated below.

They moved to southern Minnesota, then northern Minnesota to an off-the-grid cabin an hour north of Duluth. They knew northern Minnesota was not conducive to starting a business, so they considered Florida an ideal location. She said she's also adjusting to the fishing scene in Florida, which is mainly saltwater, compared to freshwater fishing in Minnesota. Nikki Haley will announce Wednesday that she is exiting the Republican presidential race, according to sources familiar with her plans, clearing the path for former President Donald Trump. Still, in her campaign, Haley became the first Republican woman to win two primary contests: Vermont and the District of Columbia. Former 2024 candidates, including biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott and North Dakota Gov. The time for that excuse is going to fast run out now that the shape of the 2024 general election is clear. “Until now, people didn’t think it was going to be Biden versus Trump, but here we are and we’re ready to go,” he said. The project, known as Direct File and launched by the IRS on a limited basis in 12 states this tax season, is in its pilot phase. Derek Wheeler, director of the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic at the University of Florida’s Law School, said his clinic has referred less than a dozen clients to the Direct File system. His legal clinic has partnered with the IRS and selectively identifies clients who may be eligible to submit their taxes through the program. One of their biggest criticisms is that free tax prep services already exist for people of all income brackets and developing the Direct File system will end up costing taxpayers billions of dollars. But after using Direct File, she said, “I feel foolish for paying all that money every year.”
